Your customers pick the music.
You stay in charge.

Jukboss is a music queue for bars. A QR code on the counter, your customers add tracks from their phones, and it plays on your Spotify account. Nothing to install, for them or for you.

How does it work?

  1. 1.

You put up the QR code

On the counter, on the tables or on the screen in the room. Customers scan it with their phone camera and land straight on your bar's queue.

  2. 2.

    Your customers add tracks

They search the whole Spotify catalogue and add what they feel like hearing. Everyone gets a few tracks at a time, no more, so nobody takes over the night.

  3. 3.

    It plays on your Spotify

Jukboss sends the tracks to your Spotify Premium account, on the speakers you already use. The queue moves on by itself. If a track doesn't fit, you skip it from your phone.

What you decide

A queue open to everyone only works if the owner has the last word. Here is what you set from your manager space. Count two minutes on the first night, and nothing after that if all goes well.

  • How many tracks each customer can have in the queue at once
  • The maximum length of a track
  • The artists, tracks, genres and keywords you don't want to hear
  • Skip to the next track, at any time
  • Disconnect or ban a customer who abuses it
  • What was played during the night, and what was skipped

And on the screen in the room

Open a web page on any screen: the bar's TV, an old PC, a Chromecast. It shows the current track, the next ones and the QR code to join the queue. You can add your logo and colours.

What you need

  • A Spotify Premium account for the bar. The music comes out of that account, on your usual equipment.
  • Somewhere to show the QR code. A sheet of paper on the counter is enough to start.
  • A screen if you want the TV view. It's optional.

Jukboss costs €49.99 excl. VAT per month, first month free — or €549.89 excl. VAT per year, one month less to pay. No commitment.

We're just launching. We open bars one at a time and help you set everything up, including the Spotify connection.

Questions we get asked

See all questions
Do I need a Spotify Premium account?
Yes, on the bar's side only. The bar links its Spotify Premium account (~€11/month), which plays the music via Spotify Connect. Customers don't need anything.
Do customers have to download an app?
No. They scan a QR code (or enter a PIN) and access the queue via their browser. It's a PWA, optionally installable on the home screen.
Can I moderate what's played?
Yes. You can ban artists, tracks, genres, keywords, limit track duration and how many tracks each customer can add.
How do I cancel my subscription?
From your manager space, in one click. No reason required. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

Do you run a bar?

Tell us where you are and we'll call you back. Usually the same day.
